Fitness Goals

I’m sure some of these goals will change or be modified over time… which only makes sense once I reach them, I will have to set new goals to keep myself focused. (That make sense?)

My short term goals are:

  • Cardio at least six times a week (more like everyday right now)
  • Weight training every other day (in the process of changing this)
  • Think of something positive about my life at least once a day
  • Drop 50 lbs by Jan. 1 st (maybe this should be a long term goal?)

My long term goals are:

  • Decrease overall body fat (I’m shooting for 22% body fat – I’ll explain more in another post)
  • Increase overall muscle tone (Hell I want to get ripped, cut, sculpted… whatever term you want to use!)
  • Maintain a positive attitude!
  • Maintain a healthy diet which keeps me looking and feeling good!

I don’t necessarily want to become a fitness competitor but I do want to achieve the same fitness level as competitors.

A Little About Me

What better way to start any blog or journal than to tell a little about yourself? I’m a visual artist with very eclectic interests which is what I will be writing about here. I’d like to think I am a simple, down to earth person with a very complex life.

I’m a lesbian “married” to my best friend. I love and adore my wife, without whom my life would not be complete. Our relationship is complex but we are happy.

I am now on what I like to call my “Journey to a Better Body, Mind and Soul.” You can read more about this on my About Me page.

I’m finally learning to love myself, moving towards a healthier lifestyle and more positive attitude. Sometimes it’s a struggle but I’m determined not to give up. Nothing worth having is ever easy to get. But the struggle helps us appreciate it when we do finally get it. Life is too short and I want to be the best I can possibly be.

I am fairly open about my life. Perhaps I sometimes share a little too much but they way I see it, just maybe my experiences and openness can help others who may be going through similar things.

I’m too serious sometimes but I still have a great, sometimes twisted sense of humor. I love to laugh and make others laugh with me or at me may be more like it. I believe if you have a positive attitude you can accomplish anything in life. If you want something bad enough, never give up!

Some of my interests are: Working out, nutrition, fitness, fitness competitions and competitors, traveling, Race for the Cure, GBLT Issues, fine art, graphic design, music, philosophy, photography, creative writing and web design.

Love me or hate me, it’s up to. But at least take the time to get to know me before you decide. There’s so much more than just what you see.
